Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME gTLD is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domain names remained online.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no special terms on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
