This is the reason why we've introduced a new security option called JailHost. Once activated, this option will literally lock an Internet site within its folder, so if an attacker takes over it, all the other Internet sites in the account will remain hidden. Thus they'll be protected from further intrusion. The JailHost option doesn't suggest that you should not keep your Internet sites up-to-date, but it will greatly minimize the damage.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

You can take advantage of JailHost with every single shared hosting plan that we provide and protect your sites against attacks really easy. Each domain and subdomain in the Hepsia Control Panel that is provided with our plans has a different folder and in contrast to what can often happen with other Control Panels, the site content isn't mixed up in a single main folder, so keeping the Internet sites separate is quite easy. Allowing JailHost for any website takes just a couple of clicks, so even when you do not have a lot of experience, you will not need any specific skills to be able to maintain your sites protected. The option isn't active by default in case that you intend to use a script which requires access to another folder in your account. If you use JailHost, the other websites that you have will be protected, but even a hacked one will not remain damaged for long as we'll have several daily backup copies for it at all times, so we could quickly recover it.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting

Our semi-dedicated hosting packages come with JailHost integrated by default. This option is not activated automatically when you add a domain name since you may need to use a specific script which accesses several folders in the account, yet you will be able to activate it without any difficulty through your Hepsia Control Panel and protect the rest of your sites with just a few clicks. Hepsia is much better to use if you have multiple Internet sites because it keeps them in individual folders and doesn't keep the files for several websites in the very same folder like it often happens with various other Control Panels. This enables us to offer JailHost as all of the folders can be isolated from one another. In case that any one of your Internet sites is hacked, we can quickly restore it using the several daily backup copies that we'll keep and meanwhile your attacker will not be able to do further damage as the access to your other sites will be blocked.
