A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam email messages, but this issue can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be remarkably easy in case you have a shared hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, yet intuitive Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you have set up listed in alphabetical order and on the right side of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously reveal to you whether a particular mailbox gets all the emails associated with a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you wish. If there is activated email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks if you have a semi-dedicated hosting service with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create mailboxes under any domain name registered here. To enable the catch-all option for a mailbox, you will need to click the symbol with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Deactivating this option can be accomplished in the exact same way and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a particular domain, you will get a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never change or deactivate anything automatically.
